Homeless Count Takes Place in Mercer County

Counting Homeless

Point in Time

On February 4th, 2015 homeless service providers and volunteers conducted a street count of homeless individuals and families in Mercer County as part of the 2015 NJ Counts.  This  annual Point in Time Count is a HUD required event performed by every Continuum of Care in the State and across the country one night during the last 10 days in January. Due to inclement weather in January, the count was pushed back one week.  It is a count of all unsheltered and sheltered homeless individuals and families, and is vital to assessing need and leveraging resources to prevent and end homelessness in Mercer County.

Results of the Point in Time Count will be shared once they become available.   For more information, please contact Joanne Locke, Mercer Alliance to End Homelessness at .
